DAMSON PLUM PUDDING & SAUCE 
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1 c. plum pulp
1 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3 tbsp. sour milk

SAUCE:

1 c. plum juice
1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. butter

Pudding: Cream shortening and sugar together until fluffy. Add eggs and plum pulp. Mix well. Sift dry ingredients together. Add alternately with sour milk. Pour into shallow greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Cut into squares and serve hot with sauce.

Sauce: Mix cornstarch with sugar, pour a little hot liquid over it and stir. Pour back into hot juice and cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Add butter. Stir until blended. Serve over pudding. Serves 6-8.
