ORANGE POUND CAKE 
1/2 c. Crisco shortening
2 sticks butter, softened
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 tsp. orange extract
1 c. milk

Cream sugar, Crisco and butter together. After this is creamy and fluffy, add 1 egg at a time, alternating some milk and flour with baking powder and salt added. Beat thoroughly until thick and fluffy (about 2 minutes).

Pour into a greased and floured tube pan and bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Cool and frost with Cream Cheese Frosting (recipe follows).
