GRANDMA'S OLD TIME FUDGE (1920) 
1/4 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/4 c. Karo syrup
1/2 c. milk or light cream
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. chocolate

Mix all together and boil 2 minutes, then add 1/2 cup chocolate. Cook until medium ball stage. Cool. Add chopped nuts and beat until creamy. Pour into buttered pan and cool until solid. Cut in squares.
