1 (9") unbaked pie shell
1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 rounded tbsp. flour
3 eggs, beaten
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash nutmeg (optional)

Have butter soft. Add sugar and cream together well. Add flour, egg and beat well. Stir in buttermilk, vanilla and nutmeg. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake 45-50 minutes at 350 degrees. Place on wire rack to cool.
