OLD-TIME BUTTERMILK PIE | |
9 inch unbaked pie shell 1/2 cup butter ~ cups sugar 3 rounded tbsp. flour 3 eggs, beaten 1 cup buttermilk 1 tsp. vanilla Dash of nutmeg (optional) Have butter soft. Add sugar and cream together well. Add flour and eggs, beating well. Stir in buttermilk, vanilla and nutmegs. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes at 350°F. Place on wire rack to cool completely before serving. |
