POPPY SEED POTATOES 
6-8 med. potatoes
2 c. grated American cheese
1 med. onion, chopped finely
1/4 c. poppy seeds
Dash salt
Dash pepper
1 c. half and half cream

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Boil the potatoes with skins on, until just before done. Peel and grate the potatoes. Place 1/3 of the potatoes in the bottom of a greased casserole dish. Next, layer 1/3 of each of the following: grated cheese, onion and poppy seeds. Repeat the layering twice more, then season with salt and pepper. Pour the half and half cream over this mixture. Bake for 1 hour. Serves 4-6 people.
