ATLAS CHEESE PUFFS | |
1/2 c. butter 1/4 lb. Monterey Jack cheese, shredded 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1/2 loaf unsliced white French bread 2 egg whites, beaten Melt butter and cheeses in top of double boiler. Meanwhile, cut bread into 1 inch cubes. When cheese is melted, stir to combine and fold in stuff egg whites. Dip bread cubes into cheese mixture and place on a tray covered with wax paper. Put in freezer. When frozen, store in plastic sealed bag in freezer. To serve, place on a greased baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 7-8 minutes or until cheese puffs begin to brown. Do not try to double this recipe. |
