KRINGLE'S CUTOUTS | |
2/3 c. butter flavored Crisco 3/4 c. sugar 1 tbsp. plus 1 tsp. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 1 egg 2 c. flour 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt Cream butter flavored Crisco, sugar, milk and vanilla until well blended. Beat in egg. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix into creamed mixture, cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Roll half dough out at a time 1/8 inch thick on floured surface. Cut in desired shapes. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with colored sugar or leave plain to frost. Bake at 375 degrees for 7-9 minutes. FROSTING: 4 c. powdered sugar 1/2 c. Crisco 1/4 c. water Almond flavor to taste Mix all ingredients well. |
