BAKED BEANS - FRENCH STYLE 
1 lb. navy beans
1/2 c. light molasses
1/2 c. brown sugar
Salt pork or bacon
1 tbsp. salt

Soak beans overnight. Cook beans until tender. Add salt, molasses and pork or bacon, as much as desired. Bake until tender at 400 degrees. Add brown sugar; stir well. Bake an additional 15 minutes.
