NORTHERN PIGS AND BLANKET 
1 head cabbage, steamed
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 egg
1/2 c. raw rice
1/2 onion
salt and pepper to taste
1 jar sauerkraut
2 lb. caraway seed
1 jar water

Peel steamed cabbage leaves (set aside). Mix hamburger, egg, onion, rice, salt and pepper. Roll in cabbage leaves. Put sauerkraut, water and caraway seeds in a roasting pan (cover). Put your wrapped hamburger on top of sauerkraut and bake in a 350°F oven for about 3 hours.

May also be made on top of stove.
