Cake:

2 cups sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 cup coke
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cup small marshmallows

Sift together sugar and flour. Mix in saucepan vegetable oil, butter, cocoa and coke. Bring mixture to a boil and pour over dry mixture. This may look lumpy but beat good. Then add buttermilk, baking soda, eggs, vanilla and marshmallows.

Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.

Frosting:

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
6 tbsp. coke
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 (1 lb.) box confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts

Mix and bring to a boil the butter, coke and cocoa. Take from heat and add confectioners' sugar, vanilla and nuts.
