BIRTHDAY PARTY CHICKEN | |
3 chicken breast halves with bones & skin 1/2 tsp. Chinese 5-spice powder 1/4 c. Tamari sauce Paprika Mix powder with sauce and pour over chicken pieces; let stand in refrigerator overnight. Put chicken, skin side up, on broiler pan. Sprinkle paprika. Pour out the sauce and discard. Bake at 450 degrees (after chicken has been sitting at room temperature 1 1/2 - 2 hours), for 20 minutes on top rack of oven (15 minutes for small breasts). Turn heat down to 350 degrees and cook for another 10-15 minutes, depending on size of breasts. Skin will be crisp. Usually, the 20 minute, 15 minute method is fine for average-large breast halves. |
