ANGEL FLAKE BISCUITS 
4 tbsp. warm water
4 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tbsp. baking powder
2 c. buttermilk
1 pkg. yeast
1 tbsp. salt
3/4 c. Crisco
5 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix water with yeast and let stand while mixing other ingredients. Mix flour, sugar, salt, soda and baking powder together, add shortening, buttermilk and yeast mixture. Mix well. Place in greased bowl, cover with cloth and let stand one hour at room temperature. Place in refrigerator covered. Knead and shape when needed. Let rise 30 minutes before baking. Bake 10 to 20 minutes at 400 degrees.
