CHUCK WAGON CARROTS 
3 c. carrots, sliced
3 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 tbsp. green onion, sliced
1 tbsp. brown sugar, packed
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper

In saucepan, bring 3/4 cup water to a boil. Add carrots, cover and cook over medium heat until carrots are tender crisp, about 10 to 12 minutes. Drain and set aside. In same saucepan, melt butter; stir in carrots and remaining ingredients. Cover and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until heated through, about 5 to 7 minutes. Serves 6.
