BRAN MUFFINS | |
5 c. flour 3 c. white sugar minus 2 tbsp. 1 c. + 2 tbsp. butter 5 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 4 c. Kellog's All-Bran 2 c. Nabisco 100% All-Bran or Kellog's Bran Buds 2 c. boiling water 4 eggs - beaten 1 qt. buttermilk Pour water oven brand and let set. Cream shortening, sugar and eggs. Add milk. Mix well. Add Kellog's All-Bran, sift flour, soda and salt. Combine with creamed mixture. Fold in soaked bran. Bake in greased tin for 15 to 18 minutes at 400 degrees. Keep up to 6 weeks covered in refrigerator. Leave space at top. |
