GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
1 lb. bacon, cut up
8 med. potatoes, cooked and sliced
1 med. onion, diced
2 tbsp. flour
3/4 c. vinegar
1/2 c. water
6 tbsp. sugar

Cook potatoes, slice, set aside, covered to keep warm. Cook bacon until crisp. Remove from grease, set aside. Thicken grease with flour. Add vinegar, water and sugar. Blend until smooth. Add reserved bacon to sauce. Place cooked, sliced potatoes and diced onion in dish (salted and peppered). Cover with sauce. Mix gently. This dish is best when potatoes are kept warm.
