HOT GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
9 slices bacon
1 c. sliced onions
2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. celery seed
Dash pepper
1 c. water
1/3 c. vinegar
9 med. potatoes, about (boiled with skins on, peeled and sliced)

Fry bacon in a large skillet until crisp. Remove and drain. Cook onions in bacon drippings until golden brown. Blend in flour, sugar, salt, celery seed, pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring until bubbly.

Remove from heat and add water and vinegar. Boil and stir for 1 minute. Pour warm sauce over sliced potatoes. Crumble bacon and stir in just before serving. This goes great with a fresh roasted ham.
