1 pkg. yeast 1 c. warm water plus 1 tsp. sugar 3 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. sugar 1/3 c. oil 2 c. buttermilk 2 eggs, beaten Mix sugar, yeast and warm water, set aside. Mix flour, soda, salt, sugar, oil, buttermilk and eggs. Stir in yeast mixture last. Let set in refrigerator overnight before use. Bake in waffle iron. Unused portion can be kept in refrigerator a week to 10 days. |
