CAMPING BISCUITS | |
2 c. sifted flour 3 3/4 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 6 tbsp. shortening 2/3 c. milk Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening (biscuits may be prepared this far and kept in a closed jar ready to add milk at any time). Stir in milk and knead lightly. Roll out to 1/4 inch thickness and cut. Cook in lightly greased hot skillet over very low heat until browned on one side and raised to a height of one inch. Turn and brown on other side. |
