CABIN CREEK BEANS 
2 c. pinto beans
1 c. chopped onion
1/4 lb. salt pork or bacon
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tsp. salt
Dash of black pepper
4 c. tomatoes
3/4 c. green pepper, diced
6 drops hot pepper sauce
1 tbsp. sugar

Soak the beans overnight; do not drain. Add the chopped onion, salt pork, garlic, salt and pepper. Cook in a covered pan on low heat for two hours. Then add the tomatoes, green pepper, hot sauce, and sugar. Continue cooking for three more hours. Serve over hot cornbread. Serves 6.
