MACARONI MEAT CHEESE CASSEROLE 
8 oz. pkg. macaroni (preferably regular, not elbow)
4 tbsp. butter
2 med. onions, chopped
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
Salt and pepper
1 1/2 c. colby cheese, grated
15 oz. can tomato sauce
1 1/2 c. milk

Saute onions in butter until soft. Add meat and seasonings; brown lightly. Cook macaroni according to package directions. Arrange layers of macaroni, meat and cheese in casserole. Mix tomato sauce and milk. Pour over contents in casserole; top with bread crumbs. (I use Progresso bread crumbs, Italian style.) Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Makes 8 servings.
