APPLE SAUCE PIE | |
1 8 or 9-inch graham cracker pie crust 1 qt. apple sauce 3/4 c. sugar (more or less depending on taste and how sweet the apple sauce is) 3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg 3/4 c. Grape Nuts (more or less depending on how "juicy" the apple sauce is) Mix sugar and spices and sprinkle some on bottom of pie crust. Sprinkle Grape Nuts over bottom, then add about 1/3 of the apple sauce. Repeat the layers, and sprinkle top with the sugar-spice mixture and the Grape Nuts. Bake in a 400 degree oven for about 1/2 hour or until it is hot and bubbly. Serve either hot or cold. |
