BLACK BOTTOMS 
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
Pinch of salt
6 oz. chocolate morsels
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. Hershey unsweetened cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. oil
1 tbsp. vinegar

1. In small bowl, cream together first 4 ingredients, then stir in chocolate morsels.

2. In a medium bowl, sift flour and dry ingredients. Add and blend in liquids until smooth.

3. You can make either regular muffins or mini-muffins; line tin with muffin liners. Fill tin 1/3 with chocolate mixture. Top with cream cheese mixture (not quite 1/3). Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Makes 2 dozen large muffins or 4 dozen mini-muffins.
