BOILED FRUIT CAKE 
1 pkg. raisins
1/4 lb. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cloves
2 c. water

Boil raisins, sugar, water and spices for 5 minutes. Cool. Add dry ingredients; mix well. Bake in a greased and floured pan (13x9) for 1 hour at 350 degree preheated oven. (Can be iced with cream cheese-confectioners' sugar icing.)
