PECAN PIE CAKE 
1 box yellow cake mix
1 egg
1/2 c. melted butter

Mix all ingredients well, take out 2/3 cup batter. Spread remaining batter in greased and floured 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes, then add topping.

TOPPING:

1 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
2/3 c. batter
3 eggs
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 to 2 c. chopped pecans

Pour over crust, reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake 40-50 more minutes.
