PECAN PIE CAKE 
1 yellow cake mix
1 egg
1/2 c. melted butter
1 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
3 eggs
1/2 c. dark brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. vanilla
1 to 2 c. chopped pecans (I use 2)

Mix cake mix, 1 egg, melted butter well. Reserve 2/3 cup of this batter. Pour rest into 9 x 13 inch pan and bake 15 minutes or until brown at 325 degrees.

Then mix reserved 2/3 cup batter with syrup, 3 eggs, brown sugar, vanilla and pecans. Pour this filling on top of crust and cook about 1 hour at 325 degrees.
