4 c. milk, scalded
5 c. dry bread, cubed
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. raisins
Nutmeg
4 eggs
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla

Pour milk over bread cubes. Let stand until soft. Add all other ingredients except nutmeg. Mix well. Pour into a buttered baking dish. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until knife comes out clean.
