CHOCOLATE DATE 
12 chocolate cream-filled cookies, crushed fine
1 (8 oz.) pkg. pitted dates, chopped fine
3/4 c. water
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. miniature marshmallows
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. heavy cream, whipped
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Sprinkle all except 1/4 cup cookie crumbs in 8-inch square pan. Combine dates, water and salt in heavy pan. Cook to boiling; simmer for 3 minutes. Remove from heat, add marshmallows and stir until melted. Cool to room temperature. Stir in nuts and spread over cookie crumbs. Combine cream and vanilla and whip. Spread over date mixture. Top with remaining crumbs. Chill several hours or overnight.
