MULLED CIDER 
1/4 c. brown sugar
Pinch of salt
2 qts. apple cider
3/4 tsp. whole allspice
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 (3 inch) cinnamon stick

Combine brown sugar, salt, cider. Tie spices in a cheese cloth (or I use a tea ball). Add to cider. Bring to a slow boil; cover and simmer 20 minutes. Remove spices and discard. Serve cider hot. (Serves 10.)
