PORK CHOPS AND DRESSING 
8 pork chops (3/4 to 1 inch thick)
Vegetable oil
1/4 c. water
3 c. croutons, unseasoned
1 can cream of mushroom soup
4 oz. can mushrooms, drained
1 1/2 c. chopped celery
1 sm. onion, chopped
Salt and pepper
1/4 tsp. sage

Brown pork chops in small amount of vegetable oil; place in baking pan. Add water to meat drippings. Mix all remaining ingredients for dressing and add water and meat drippings. Place a mound of dressing on top of each chop. Cover with foil loosely. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Serves 8.
