HOT FRUIT COMPOTE 
1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks, drained
1 (16 oz.) can peach slices, drained
1 (16 oz.) can pear slices, drained
1 (11 oz.) can mandarin orange segments, drained
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. orange juice
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. cloves
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
Maraschino cherries if desired

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Arrange all fruit except cherries in 13x9 baking dish or 1 1/2 quart casserole.

In small saucepan over medium heat, combine all remaining ingredients except cherries. Heat and stir until brown sugar is dissolved and butter is melted. Pour over fruit.

Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes or until fruit is thoroughly heated. Serve in baking dish or chafing dish. Garnish with maraschino cherries. 8 servings.
