BUNCH OF BEAN SOUP | |
4 c. assorted beans 1 pkg. chili seasoning mix 1 chopped onion 1 tbsp. crushed garlic 1 1/2 to 2 lbs. ground chicken, pork or beef 1 c. chopped carrots 1/2 c. chopped celery 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes 1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce Soak beans overnight in 8 cups of water. Bring beans to boil. Reduce and simmer 2 hours. Brown meat, drain liquid and add remaining ingredients to meat. Bring to boil, reduce to simmer, cook about 1 hour. Combine beans and sauce, simmer for 1/2 hour. Use liquid from beans. |
