WAIKIKI MEATBALLS | |
1 1/2 lbs. beef 2/3 c. crumbs 1/3 c. minced onion 1 egg 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. ginger 1/4 c. milk Mix the above ingredients and shape into small balls, brown and cook. Remove meatballs and keep warm. Pour fat from pan. 2 tbsp. cornstarch 1 can pineapple tidbits (reserve syrup) 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/3 c. vinegar 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce Mix cornstarch and vinegar, stir in reserved pineapple syrup, sugar and Worcestershire sauce until smooth. Pour into skillet and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils for 1 minute. Add meatballs and pineapple tidbits and heat. |
