PETITES TOURTES OF PECAN | |
1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1 c. flour 1 stick butter Pinch of salt Cream butter and cream cheese until well blended. Add flour and salt and mix well. Let stand in refrigerator for 1 hour. PECAN PIE FILLING: 1 c. ground pecans 2 eggs 1 tbsp. vanilla 1 c. brown sugar 2 tbsp. butter Cream butter with brown sugar, egg and vanilla. Add nuts and mix well. Take small top size ball of dough and work into small muffin tin to form thin pie shells. Once tin is full of pie shells, fill each 1 about 3/4 full with the pie filling. Bake at 325 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Let cool in muffin tins about 5 minutes before removing. COMMENTS: Don't rush this recipe. Dough works much better after it's been refrigerated. Dough and filling can be refrigerated several days if you don't want to make them all at once. This is a great holiday treat for a party tray! |
