CHOCOLATE COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 1/4 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 tbsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. cinnamon
1 tbsp. cloves
3/4 c. cocoa
4 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. strawberry jam
1/2 c. raisins (optional)
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
3/8 c. cream sherry

Combine all ingredients, adding flour as needed. Chill 1 hour. Roll into balls. Bake at 375 degrees on greased sheets about 10 minutes. Frost with thin mixture of confectioners' sugar and water.
