CHOCOLATE KAHLUA CHEESE CAKE | |
1 pkg. Devils Food cake 1/3 c. nuts, chopped (of choice) 1/2 c. butter, melted 2 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese 1/2 c. sugar 1/4 c. Kahlua liqueur or Cream de Cocoa liqueur 2 eggs 1 1/3 c. half and half 1 to 2 c. whipped cream Reserve 1 cup dry cake mix. Combine remaining cake mix, nuts and butter in bowl. Blend with fork until crumbly. Press on bottom and sides of 2 well greased and floured 9-inch pie plates or one 9 x 13 inch pan. Beat cream cheese, sugar and liqueur in large bowl. Beat in reserved cake mix until smooth. Beat in eggs until blended. Gradually beat in half and half. Pour into crust. Bake at 300 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes. Cool, then chill. Spread whipped cream over top before serving. Garnish with chocolate curls or chocolate syrup or Maraschino cherries. |
