1/2 gal. vanilla ice cream
1 pkg. Oreo cookies, crushed
Chocolate syrup or caramel sauce or both
1 sm. pkg. slivered almonds
1 sm. jar maraschino cherries

Layer as follows: 1/3 cup crushed cookies; Drizzle chocolate syrup; 1/2 of the ice cream; 1/3 crushed cookies; drizzle chocolate sauce; other 1/2 of ice cream; remainder of cookies; chocolate sauce; slivered almond; cherries scattered about 2 inches apart. Freeze until firm.

NOTE: Slice ice cream while still firm in about 1 inch thick slices.
