GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE 
1 med. onion or 1 tbsp. instant onion
1/3 c. butter
Dash Tabasco sauce & soy sauce
1/2 tsp. salt & pepper
1 c. shredded sharp cheese (may use Parmesan)
2 c. milk
2 tbsp. flour
4 cans string beans, drained
1 can sliced mushrooms, drained or can use fresh (4 oz.)
1 can water chestnuts, drained & sliced
1/2 c. toasted slivered almonds

Saute onions in butter, add flour and blend until smooth. Add milk, soy sauce, Tabasco, salt and pepper. Stir in cheese, add beans, mushrooms and water chestnuts. Pour into quart casserole and cover with almonds. Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes.
