OLD FASHIONED BREAD PUDDING 
3 c. soft bread crumbs, 4 for firm
2 c. milk, scalded with 1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon or nutmeg
1/2 c. raisins

Place bread crumbs in 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Blend in rest of ingredients. Place baking dish in pan of hot water. Bake until knife comes clean.
