PORK CHOPS BAKED IN SOUR CREAM 
4 pork chops, 1/2 inch thick
1/2 c. water
1 bay leaf; optional
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. sour cream

Season pork chops with salt and pepper, dredge with flour and brown in small amount of fat. Place in casserole. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over chops. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) about 1 1/2 hours or until chops are done.
