LITTLE DEBBIE BARS | |
1 box devils food cake mix FILLING: 5 tbsp. flour 1 c. milk 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. Crisco 1/2 c. butter 1 tsp. vanilla FROSTING: 1 c. sugar 4 tbsp. milk 4 tbsp. butter 1/2 c. real chocolate chips Mix cake mix as directions on box, grease 2 jelly roll pans, divide dough in half in each pan. Bake 12 minutes at 350 degrees. Blend flour, salt and milk, heat until thick, cool thoroughly. Cream sugar, Crisco and butter at high speed gradually adding cooled mixture and vanilla. Whip 7 to 8 minutes at high speed, then put filling on one pan of baked dough and put the other pan of baked dough on top of this. FROSTING: Boil all frosting ingredients for 1 minute, then add chocolate chips, beat until chips are melted and put on top of bars. |
