WINTER NIGHT SOUP 
1 can blackeyed peas
1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1/4 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. rosemary
1 lb. smoked sausage
1 c. grated cheddar cheese

Saute onion, bell pepper, sausage until onions and peppers are tender. Add garlic powder, black pepper, oregano, rosemary, peas; simmer for 30 minutes. Before serving, sprinkle grated cheese on top. Serve with hot corn bread on cold winter night.
