SHOO - FLY CAKE 
1/3 c. dark molasses
2/3 c. King syrup
2 1/4 c. boiling water
1 tbsp. baking soda
4 c. flour
3/4 c. vegetable shortening
1 lb. brown sugar
1 tsp. salt

Mix molasses, water and baking soda in large bowl and set aside to cool. Mix flour, shortening, brown sugar and salt until crumbs are formed. Save 2 cups for topping. Mix liquid and remaining crumbs. Pour in greased cake pan. Sprinkle with crumbs and bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
