PUMPKIN BARS AND CREAM CHEESE
FROSTING
 
3/4 c. butter
2 c. sugar
1 (16 oz.) can pumpkin
4 eggs
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. walnuts

FROSTING:

1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/3 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. confectioners' sugar
1/8 tsp. cinnamon

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy; blend in pumpkin and eggs. Combine and mix in well next 6 ingredients. Spread in well greased and floured 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch jelly roll pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes.

Frosting: Mix first 3 ingredients well; gradually add sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle nuts on top, if desired.
