CHOCOLATE COTTAGE PUDDING 
1 3/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
1 large egg
1/3 cup vinegar
1 cup sweet whole milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 (1 oz. ea.) squares chocolate, melted

Sift flour, baking soda, salt and sugar together. Cream butter until smooth. Add egg, vinegar, milk, vanilla, sifted dry ingredients and melted chocolate. Stir until flour is dampened; beat for 1 minute or 125 strokes. Turn into greased 8x8x2-inch pan.

Bake at 325°F for 55 to 60 minutes. Serve warm with orange sauce or whipped topping.
