1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. soft butter
1 egg
1 tsp. almond flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Mix sugar and butter. Add egg and flavorings; stir dry ingredients together and mix well. Chill. Roll moderately thin on cloth covered board. I use 1 tablespoon powdered sugar to 1 cup flour to roll with. Bake at 375 degrees for 7-8 minutes or until lightly browned. Store in covered tin.
