DAD'S FAVORITE BBQ CHICKEN &
SAUSAGE
 
1 (18 oz.) bottle Kraft reg. or thick 'n spicy barbecue sauce
1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) broiler-fryer, cut up
1 1/2 lb. Italian or Polish sausage or bratwurst
1 green pepper, cut into rings
1 sm. onion, sliced

OUTDOORS: Place chicken, skin side up and sausage on greased grill over low coals (coals will be ash gray). Grill uncovered 20 minutes; turn. Grill additional 10 minutes. Turn, continue grilling 30 minutes, turning and brushing with barbecue sauce every 10 minutes. Combine remaining barbecue sauce and vegetables in small saucepan. Cook over low heat 8 to 10 minutes or until vegetables are crisp- tender. Serve with chicken and sausage. 6 servings.

INDOORS: Place chicken, skin side up and sausage on greased rack of broiler pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Brush with barbecue sauce; continue baking 30 minutes or until tender, turning and brushing with barbecue sauce every 10 minutes. Combine remaining barbecue sauce and vegetables in small saucepan; cook over low heat 8 to 10 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender. Serve with chicken and sausage. 6 servings.
