STEWED SAUERKRAUT (PAROLT
KAPOSZTA)
 
30 oz. sauerkraut
3 tbsp. caraway seed
1 c. water
1 med. onion
1/4 c. sugar
1 med. potato, grated

Mix all ingredients except potato in saucepan. Let simmer, stirring occasionally until onion is soft. Stir in potato. Bring mixture to a boil; cover. Let rest 10 minutes before serving.
