KAHLUA 
4 c. sugar
3 3/4 c. water
3/4 c. instant coffee
1/2 vanilla beans, split
1 pt. brandy
1 fifth of vodka (26 oz.)

Boil water and sugar for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add coffee. Bring to boil again. Remove from heat. Add brandy and vodka. Cool and pour into large bottle with a tight cover. Add vanilla bean. Let set for two weeks. Do not put in refrigerator.
