CHEESE AND BROCCOLI SOUP 
6 c. water
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (8 oz.) process cheese spread
2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 c. milk
1 c. half and half
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. cold water

Bring water to a boil in large pot; add broccoli and onion. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes. Add cheese and seasonings until cheese melts. Stir in milk, half and half, butter; cook over low heat until thoroughly heated.

Combine flour and 1/2 cup cold water; stir until smooth. Gradually add broccoli mixture, stirring constantly; cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring occasionally.
